Get to Know J. Allen Patterson, IV

A Beaufort native, Allen grew up in the construction industry and began helping his father and grandfather on job sites when he was in the second grade.

Family: Twin children—a son and daughter—and two stepdaughters
Favorite project: He built a home on an island where every material had to be transported by barge
Favorite local restaurants: Bistro Ten and Papaya
Coffee order: Sweet with plenty of cream and at least three packets of Splenda
Outside of work: Metal detecting, surfing, fishing, woodworking, hiking, exercising, and—of course—building things

Get to Know Julie Patterson

Julie brings 26 years of industry experience to the APB team. Originally from Monticello, Georgia, she moved to Beaufort in 1997.

Family: Four children—three daughters and one son, including a set of twins—and two pets, Barney and Mayberry
Coffee order: Black coffee at home and anything that catches her eye at Lowcountry Cider Co. & Superior Coffee, where one of her daughters works
Favorite place to eat: Anywhere she doesn’t have to cook!
Outside of work: Running, going to the gym, and playing with her puppies!

A Lowcountry native, Buddy brings more than 50 years of industry experience to the APB team. His deep knowledge, craftsmanship, and decades of hands-on experience make him an invaluable part of every project.

Family: Two sons, Shawn and Kevin, and quite the collection of animals—including Yorkies, a Rottweiler, two horses, and a pig

Get to Know Eric Bridges

Eric brings 33 years of industry experience to the APB team, including 19 years with Allen Patterson Builders. He spent 16 years as a lead trim carpenter before transitioning into project management three years ago. His military family brought him to Beaufort in 1987, and the Lowcountry has been home ever since.

Family: One daughter, Lila, and a corgi
Favorite local restaurant: Johnson Creek Tavern

Outside of work: Boating and spending time with his daughter

Get to Know Donna Lang

After spending 25 years in the restaurant industry, Donna brought her passion for working with people to APB, where she has been part of the team for four years. Born in Michigan, she moved to Georgia when she was 12 before eventually making the Lowcountry home.

Family: One daughter, Amber, and four rescue cats
Favorite local restaurant: Breakwater

Outside of work: Traveling, spending time with friends, and enjoying good food and wine

Get to Know Bonnie Powell

Bonnie brings nearly three years of industry experience to the APB team. Born in Ohio, she lived in Charlotte and Alpharetta, Georgia, before making the Lowcountry home.

Family: Two married daughters and two dogs, Hudson and Avery—both named after Atlanta Braves players
Favorite local restaurants: Breakwater in Beaufort, plus Tomfoolery and Criollo in Habersham

A Beaufort and Lowcountry native, Joseph has spent seven summers gaining hands-on experience in the construction industry and learning the building process from the ground up.

Chuck brings 39 years of industry experience to the APB team. Originally from New Jersey, his decades of hands-on experience and craftsmanship make him a valuable part of every project.

Peggy brings more than 20 years of industry experience to the APB team. Originally from Rock Hill, South Carolina, she relocated to the Lowcountry in 2023 and now calls beautiful Beaufort home.

Coffee order: Plain black coffee—although she isn’t a big coffee drinker
Outside of work: Antiquing, thrifting, and constantly redecorating her home

Chris brings 30 years of industry experience to the APB team, including an impressive 26 years with Allen Patterson Builders. A Beaufort and Lowcountry native, his deep local knowledge and decades of construction experience are an important part of the APB team.

Patrick brings 24 years of industry experience to the APB team, including two years with Allen Patterson Builders. Originally from New York’s Hudson Valley, he moved to the Lowcountry in 2024.

Tom brings an impressive 53 years of industry experience to the APB team. Originally from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, he has built a career centered around craftsmanship and quality construction.
