Developed by the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety, the FORTIFIED program focuses on strengthening vulnerable areas of a home, including the roof, exterior openings, and structural connections. Each FORTIFIED home is evaluated by an independent, certified professional who verifies that the required construction standards have been met.
